Dashboard Overview
The dashboard is where Eclipse surfaces what needs attention now, not just a set of passive charts. Use it as the opening screen for daily review.
What you’ll usually see
Section titled “What you’ll usually see”- headline metrics for revenue, expenses, cash, or period performance
- alerts for urgent issues like stale connections, missing postings, or overdue work
- next-step panels that point into banking, invoices, expenses, or reports
- charts and breakdowns that help explain what changed
The exact mix can vary by account data, enabled modules, and workspace state.
Best way to use it
Section titled “Best way to use it”Start with alerts and action items
Section titled “Start with alerts and action items”If Eclipse is warning about a stale bank connection, unresolved review item, or posting issue, handle that first. Those blockers can make the rest of the dashboard less trustworthy.
Review the period at a glance
Section titled “Review the period at a glance”Use the metric strip and charts to answer a few quick questions:
- Is revenue roughly where I expected it to be?
- Did expenses spike in a way I need to explain?
- Is cash activity consistent with what happened in the bank?
- Are there unresolved tasks that will affect month-end accuracy?
Jump to the source workspace
Section titled “Jump to the source workspace”The dashboard is most useful when it sends you somewhere specific:
- banking when cash activity needs review
- expenses when categorization or receipt cleanup is lagging
- invoices when follow-up or payment recording is overdue
- reports when you want a formal statement view
Customization
Section titled “Customization”Eclipse supports dashboard presets, widget controls, and layout preferences in the app. Customize the dashboard only after your main workflows are already stable, otherwise it is easy to optimize the wrong view too early.
