Setting Up Your Account

Follow these steps to create and set up your Eclipse Accounting account:

  1. Visit the sign-up page and enter your email address 1. Create a strong password (minimum 8 characters) 1. Verify your email by clicking the confirmation link 1. Complete your business information 1. Set up your first user account

Once your account is created, you’ll need to configure:

  • Business name and legal entity type
  • Contact email and phone number
  • Business address
  • Tax identification number (if applicable)
  • Default currency for invoices and reports
  • Fiscal year start date
  • Invoice numbering format
  • Expense categories

The Account settings danger zone can schedule the active workspace for deletion after a 30-day grace period. Only an active workspace owner can schedule or cancel it, and the schedule remains visible after you return to the page.

This action applies to the active workspace and its data. It does not delete your personal login or other workspaces you belong to. Type DELETE in the confirmation dialog to schedule it; use Cancel deletion before the shown date to stop it.

On your first login, Eclipse opens a focused, full-screen setup flow. It asks only for the details needed to create the right workspace:

  1. Your role and whether you’re starting fresh or switching systems
  2. Your business name, industry, goal, entity type, and tax country
  3. How much bookkeeping help you want Eclipse to provide

You can connect banks, sales channels, and other integrations after the workspace is ready.

Eclipse creates or resumes the workspace owned by your verified account during this setup. If you already have another workspace active, switch to the one you are configuring before saving or completing onboarding. If the same verified email is linked to an older Clerk account, Eclipse stops instead of moving that account’s data automatically; contact support for an identity-checked recovery.

After setup, you’re ready to:
