Eclipse Service

Eclipse Service is Eclipse Accounting operating your books for you. Connect bank feeds, email receipts, and sales channels; Eclipse runs continuous bookkeeping, prepares month-end close, and assembles tax-ready packages. You review exceptions, not every transaction.

  • Continuous bookkeeping — email receipt autopilot, bank transaction matching, and high-confidence approval auto-resolve on a daily schedule.
  • Receipt archives — forwarded expense emails retain a private PDF copy; safe retries reuse the same organization-owned archive without replacing another attached receipt.
  • Month-end close — checklist task generation, adjusting entries, integrity checks, and close-ready certification on period end.
  • Tax prep — readiness scoring, 1099 vendor detection, return-ready accountant packets, and CPA review item lists quarterly.

Open Settings → Eclipse Service to configure:

Setting What it controls
Autonomy Watch, draft only, auto safe, or full auto per capability
Max auto-book amount Dollar cap for autonomous booking
Require review above Route larger items to your exception inbox
Digest frequency Daily or weekly email + in-app service digest
Pause Temporarily stop autonomous runs for 24 hours

The Exceptions page (/approvals) shows only items that still need a human decision. Use the queue filter to view all items or auto-resolve candidates when you need full visibility.

The Eclipse Service card on your dashboard shows:

  • Books current through date
  • Exception count with a link to review
  • Close readiness and blockers
  • Tax readiness score and CPA review items

Accounting firms see a Client service pipeline on the firm dashboard with the same signals across managed clients.
