eBay Integration
Overview
Section titled “Overview”The eBay integration connects a seller account to an Eclipse workspace. It is designed to bring marketplace activity into the accounting flow and let your team publish eBay listings from Eclipse without bouncing between systems.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- Active eBay seller account
- Access to connect integrations in Eclipse
- The correct Eclipse organization selected before you start the OAuth flow
Setup Steps
Section titled “Setup Steps”-
Open Connections in Eclipse and choose eBay.
-
Choose Connect eBay and complete eBay’s authorization flow.
-
Return to Eclipse and confirm the seller account in My apps.
-
Wait for the first sync, then review orders, transactions, and payouts.
If your eBay connection was authorized before listing publishing was enabled, Eclipse may ask you to reconnect once so the connection includes the write scope required for publishing. A valid existing grant can keep importing the data it allows. If eBay revoked the grant, reconnect before importing.
Each workspace supports one eBay seller connection. Reconnecting verifies that the seller matches the existing account, including older grants whose saved seller identity needs to be recovered. Choose the same seller account when eBay asks you to sign in.
What Eclipse can do
Section titled “What Eclipse can do”- Automatic order syncing every hour, with manual sync available in the integrations hub
- marketplace fee detail where available, with order quantities and unit prices
- returns, disputes, and cancellations for review
- customer and order context needed for accounting workflows
- listing drafts and manual listing publish from Eclipse to eBay
- full-history eBay data bundle exports from the Exports page as a ZIP of CSV files; Eclipse pages through the complete organization-owned dataset instead of silently stopping at the database’s first result page
Real-time eBay notifications and eBay inventory imports are not available. Listing drafts and manual publishing use Eclipse inventory.
Incremental imports check when an order last changed so refunds and cancellations on older orders can be picked up. A full sync requests the available previous year; eBay’s retention and API permissions determine which records it returns. Case resolution remains in eBay Seller Hub.
The current rollout targets U.S. seller accounts. Finances access for sellers in regions that require eBay digital signatures remains a separate release gate.
What to review after the first sync
Section titled “What to review after the first sync”- did orders arrive in the expected organization
- are marketplace fees showing the way you expected
- are recent orders present
- did any blocker or reconnect alert appear in the integrations view
- can you download the eBay data bundle from Exports if you need a full CSV backup
Your workspace role must allow report exports. The complete eBay bundle always covers full history, so it does not accept date filters.
Common issues
Section titled “Common issues”Orders not syncing
Section titled “Orders not syncing”Confirm the connection is active and that the OAuth authorization completed successfully.
Missing recent activity
Section titled “Missing recent activity”Check the last sync time, Activity, and any integration-health warnings before reconnecting. Failed imports show a retry or reconnect action. A failed import does not mean that no activity exists.
Payout breakdown is incomplete
Section titled “Payout breakdown is incomplete”Sync orders, transactions, and payouts before reviewing a payout. Eclipse uses the activity linked to that payout to separate sales, fees, refunds, and other deductions. If records are missing or the amounts do not agree, the breakdown stops instead of treating the deposit as another sale.
Reconnect required
Section titled “Reconnect required”If Eclipse shows a reconnect or authorization problem, use the in-app recovery action instead of creating a second connection. Older eBay connections may also need a reconnect before Eclipse can publish listings back to eBay.
