Invoices
Invoices
Section titled “Invoices”Use invoices to bill customers, track payment status, and keep receivables organized without leaving the rest of the accounting workflow behind.
- Creating Invoices for the first send.
- Managing Invoices for follow-up, status, and ongoing maintenance.
If your team sends the same kinds of invoices repeatedly, start with the creation guide and then document your template conventions internally.
Payment reminder templates
Section titled “Payment reminder templates”Open Settings → Invoicing to create, edit, enable, or disable payment reminder templates for the current workspace. Templates are shared with that organization, so teammates need permission to view or edit Settings. Opening the page does not create templates automatically; an empty workspace stays empty until an authorized teammate chooses New Template.
After choosing the schedule, use the visual editor to add text, headings, buttons, dividers, and approved invoice variables. Drafts autosave, but a new editor template cannot send until you choose Publish. Send Test delivers only to your verified primary sign-in email. Each publication creates a retained version; disable a published template when you no longer want the schedule to run.
Eclipse supports reminders before the due date, on the due date, and after the due date. Keep the subject and body specific, use the available invoice variables, and disable a built-in default instead of deleting it.
Late fees
Section titled “Late fees”Automatic late-fee posting is currently paused. Eclipse will not change an overdue invoice balance unless the fee can post through the same organization-owned accounting controls as the receivable and revenue entry. Handle any late fee as a reviewed invoice adjustment until the automatic ledger workflow is available.
